How To Make Faux Gold Bookends

Voila! Enjoy your bookends!

Getting crafty is really not my style; the combination of things like paper, scissors, wooden things, glitter, and colored paper kind of make me a little nauseous. So I figured, if I’m going to get involved in a DIY project, I better up the ante with something slightly more badass.

Bookends are always useful. Even in this day and age where a plethora of e-book and e-magazine platforms rule, true blue bookworms like myself would agree that nothing compares to the smell and feel of a real, physical book. So what better way to organize and show off your favorite spines than a pair of good old bookends?

Ransack your local hardware store and gather the following materials:

12 PVC pipes in different widths and heights (a bundle of six for each
side of the bookends)
A tube of superglue (we used 3M super strength adhesive)
A can of gold spray paint (we used BOSNY spray paint in no. 351)
A sheet of newspaper to protect your floor from glue and paint
