Best Foot Forward: Heels Don’t Have to be Uncomfortable

I’m not a heels type of gal but when I do have to wear a pair, I make sure they’re comfortable. For me, I don’t think you have to wear mega high heels to feel confident, especially at work. If you have to wear heels to work every day and you’re running around the office, there are better options.

Last year, we looked into the comeback of kitten heels so why not cop a pair or two for work? Shoes with chunky heels are also a great alternative because they give you more stability when you walk. For the ladies who want to or need to wear these types of shoes to work but don’t want their feet to suffer, you can check out our picks below.

Zara Leather Slingback Shoes

Slingback heels are all the rage so why not add a pair to your wardrobe? This black pair will complement any outfit you throw on and will instantly make you look chic. If your office has more lenient dress code rules, this also comes in ecru, snakeskin print, and purple. Available at Power Plant Mall.

Charles and Keith Tapered Heel Mules

Mules are another comfortable option because of the chunky heel. Pair this slip-on one with dresses, cropped trousers, and flowy blouses. This also comes in black if this shade doesn’t mesh well with your current selection. Available at Greenbelt 5.

Roger Vivier Belle Vivier Trompette Leather Pumps

The heels you pick don’t always have to be high, for comfort and ease, wear ones that are shorter. This pair has a two-inch heel and square toe. It is also embellished with a gold square buckle, which you can match your accessories with. Cop the beige pair with black lines if you want something more edgy. Available on Net-a-Porter.

H&M Court Shoes with Ties

Your work shoes don’t have to be boring either. You can still wear heels that are appropriate yet have some flair to them. These court shoes have a chunky heel, making it easier to walk in, and a pointed toe. It also has braided ties so you can secure the shoes to your feet and they add some style to an otherwise plain pair. Available at SM Megamall.

Gucci Leather Mid-Heel Sandal

If open-toe shoes are an option for you at work, pick up these mid-heel sandals from Gucci. It’s a bit of a splurge but at least you know they’ll last you a lifetime. It has a three-inch chunky heel, ankle straps, and gold hardware. Wear these on casual Fridays or with your favorite suit. Available at Shangri-La Plaza.
