Dak Bonite wanted to show human despair and sorrow as “an inevitable part of life” through her latest collection. Hence, Melancholia brought forth dark gowns that looked like updated versions of funeral dresses—both elegant and haunting. The pieces were created with lace and faux fur, and the silhouettes highlighted the models’ figures.
