Who wore platform sneakers and an N-word belt at the CFDA Awards?

Earlier today, celebrities and fashion icons gathered for the CFDA Awards 2018. Touted as “the fashion world’s very own Oscars,” the red carpet was filled with guests dressing their best for the ceremony. They also watched as notable people like Vogue UK editor-in-chief Edward Enninful, Naomi Campbell, and Kim Kardashian received awards for their craft and hard work.

But we know that you’re here for the red carpet looks, so we listed some of our favorites below. Also, we gave them unofficial Preen awards because why not? Let us know which look you loved the most by commenting them below or via Twitter. (Don’t forget to tag us: @preenonline!)

Best arm candy: Kim Kardashian

Kim K received the first-ever CFDA Influencer Award and arrived in a Rick Owens crop top and skirt. While many couldn’t get enough of her toned abs, her gold bangles stole the show for us. Think: a sultrier version of the genie in Aladdin with sharp cheek contour.

Most vibrant attendee: Kehlani

For those who are not yet over Kehlani’s recent Manila show, be glad to know that she slayed her CFDA look. She wore a canary yellow 3.1 Phillip Lim dress and paired it with yellow heels and a zebra-print clutch. Way to make everybody’s heads turn on the red carpet!

Most dance-appropriate outfit: Naomi Campbell

We can’t help but see Naomi Campbell dance the night away in her red fringe dress. This photo alone shows how the dress follows her movements. So we hope she took off her heels later in the evening to take on the dance floor.

Best in nude: Ashley Graham

Ashley Graham arrived in a nude-tone Vera Wang number. The color complemented her pale skin and brown locks. She added a pop of color by rocking a red lip.

Best blue velvet ensemble: Amandla Stenberg

Young actress Amandla Stenberg, known for her roles in Hunger Games and Everything, Everything, wore a Rosie Assoulin pantsuit. It’s made with light blue velvet, the pants are flared, and the jacket was worn over a printed polo. She’s growing up so fast!

Straight out of a painting honoree: Gigi Hadid

Gigi Hadid did not disappoint with her Versace ensemble. She looks like she’s wearing an abstract painting on her body and we’re here for it! She topped off her look with a bright red lip and slicked-back hair.

Most Jennifer Lopez-looking: Joan Smalls

Not gonna lie, I thought I was looking at J-Lo’s photo when I saw this. Joan Smalls showed up wearing a white crop top and a magenta floor-length skirt. She also wore hoop earrings and bracelets, and put up her hair in a high ponytail. Very ’90s era.

Best choker: Lupita Nyong’o

Also wearing Versace was Lupita Nyong’o, who opted for a black-and-white corset dress. Her statement accessory of choice? A feather-embellished choker.

Highest slit: Winnie Harlow

Model Winnie Harlow channeled a Greek goddess with her midnight blue Tommy Hilfiger dress. It also came with thigh-high slit to show off her long legs. Kinda reminds us of how Angelina Jolie did it at the Oscars.

Most unfiltered accessory: Issa Rae

Host of the night Issa Rae wore a glittery blue jumpsuit on the red carpet that’s cinched with a thin belt. If you look closely, you’ll see the phrase “Every n**ga is a star” written on it. She definitely took “statement belt” to a whole ‘nother level.

Fluffiest look of the night: Kendall Jenner

Kendall Jenner opted for a feathery Alexandre Vauthier dress which showed off her decolletage and legs. And yes, it looks so soft and fluffy from all angles.

Monochromatic in the best way: Olsen twins

As usual, Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen brought their twin fashion A-game for the CFDA red carpet. Both of them wore all-black outfits, giving us sleek and chic businesswoman look. Fitting for these hardworking ladies.

FU heels award: Whoopi Goldberg

Whoopi Goldberg opted for platform sneakers to go with her hot pink Christian Siriano dress. She also paired the outfit with a pink sun hat and large belt, and a pair of shades. But really, those shoes look really comfy, don’t you think?
