Don’t stress! Sue Ramirez can help you style your pixie cut

Sue Ramirez has had many hairstyles from bangs to an undercut and extensions. Her latest hair choice was a pixie cut that she got last month. Some people even questioned her sexuality because of it but we’re actually fans of her new ‘do. On Instagram, she is constantly sharing selfies where you can see the different ways she styles her pixie cut. She has found ways to strategically place bobby pins and clips despite having little to work with. Even if her hair is super short, she isn’t afraid to experiment even more with different styles. If you too just got a pixie cut but aren’t sure how to rock it, take inspiration from these looks on Sue and products to achieve it.

Suesh 2 in 1 Curl/Straight Mini Iron

If you have a pixie cut, your hair will start to go every which way. To make sure everything is set in place, use a flat or curling iron. In some photos you will notice that Sue’s bangs are perfectly fixed. To achieve the same look, take a flat iron and start from the middle of your locks till the ends. This will work best for the parts that will be covering your face. Available at Glorietta 3.

IGK Broken Dreams Texture Paste

Another way to style your pixie cut is by going for a wet look. In one photo you will see Sue’s hair parted to the side and her bangs swept away from her face. When your hair is still damp, apply some of this texture paste. This will add texture while absorbing oil. This will also add volume by making your locks look thicker. The product also has a pleasant scent of black pepper, blackberries, and dewy violet. Available on Sephora PH.

Bed Head by TIGI Manipulator Matte

Sue also likes to style her hair in a pixie cut version of an updo. This means you will need to use a product that has a strong hold without making your hair feel crunchy. This wax from Bed Head has a matte finish and adds texture. It is described as having a “long-lasting hold and control which doesn’t budge; creates lift, grip, and definition.” So you don’t have to worry about your hair falling flat in the middle of the day. Available on HairMNL.

MAC Glitter

Spruce up a regular hair day with some glitter. This might not be appropriate for every day but try this out for special occasions. MAC’s glitter is multi-purpose so this can also be used for the hair. These come in the shape of hearts in pink and lilac colors. You can apply it to your hair using a small amount of gel. You can focus this on your roots or work your way to the middle and ends. Available at SM Aura Premier.

Toni & Guy Volume Plumping Mousse

Another quick way to style your pixie cut is by using mousse. After towel drying your hair, apply a small amount of this product. After working into your locks, style it accordingly. Scrunch your hair between your fingers to get some textured pieces. You can also apply the mouse on your hairbrush for even application. Available at Watsons branches.
