Korean celebrities Sandara Park and Nam Joo Hyuk came back to Manila again to meet and spend time with their fans during the Penshoppe Fancon 2018 at the Mall of Asia Arena. During the press conference, we found out more about themselves regarding their careers, interests, and personal fashion style. Given that these celebrities are always seen on television or events wearing the trendiest clothes and accessories, Park and Nam still stick to the classic t-shirt as their go-to fashion item.
“Alam niyo ba ngayon mas mainit sa Korea kaysa Pilipinas kaya hindi kami nagsusuot ng damit,” (It is hotter in Korea now as compared to the Philippines, which is why we don’t wear that much clothing) quips Sandara. The famous 2NE1 member is now juggling variety show guestings and her putting up content in her YouTube series Dara TV. At any given time of the day, Sandara would choose to wear shirts even for dates. “A large or extra-large shirt would do and that’s it.” Judging from her Instagram photos, it seems she really is fond of wearing plain and/or statement shirts and partner them with patterned or textured skirts or pants to balance the look.
The same goes for Nam Joo Hyuk, whom we all loved as the playful and talented swimmer Jung Joon Hyung in Weighlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo. He was almost always in oversized sweatshirts or sweaters in the show, and when he played Habaek in his latest show Bride of Habaek, his wardrobe consisted of crisp white polos and black tuxedos. As himself, though, he prefers to wear whatever he finds in his home…which are shirts and jeans. “My lazy-day fashion has always been my go-to fashion style.”
Now that we’re inspired, we’ll probably be adding oversized and relaxed pieces to our wardrobe.
