These fashion campaign photos look like scenes from movies

A trend I’ve been seeing on Instagram are accounts that post scenes from movies with subtitles. More often than not, these are iconic and memorable snapshots from the films. Fashion brand Dior decided to do something similar for their autumn/winter campaign.

On Instagram they started posting photos by Pamela Hanson. Here you will see moody pictures of women decked out in Dior. Along the bottom of each photo are yellow subtitles with words that capture the moment.

Reading through them, I couldn’t help but relate to them on some level. Keep reading to see what I’m talking about.

It’s okay to be in touch with your emotions

Women are put down for many reasons and one of them is for being “weak.” In turn, some ladies have put up a wall so they don’t show emotion. I think being in touch with your emotions actually makes you stronger. You’re able to accept how you feel, validate it, and work to achieving something better. It is an exaggeration but the idea is similar, “Women who don’t cry should be outlawed.”

Timing is everything

Timing is important for lots of things, including conversations. If you’re in the middle of watching a movie in the cinema and someone says, “I have something to tell you,” just reply with, “Not now.” This can work for other situations too like if you’re in a meeting or just not in the mood.

Who else needs a pick-me-up today?

Sometimes, at the end of the day you just need to hear some good news, something to lift your spirits. “Tell me something nice” is the perfect subtitle to encompass that feeling. Does anyone else feel this way right now?

Saving money can be a struggle

Trying to save money but love shopping? I understand your struggle. But this photo says it best, “There are more important things than the Champs Elysées.” In this case, this can refer to malls, online stores, bazaars, trunk shows, pretty much anywhere you would be tempted to spend some coin. Take a step back and think if you really need a new pair of shoes because you most likely don’t.

Thinking back at the hectic week you’ve had

After the end of a stressful week, I also can’t help but think, “Is this a tragedy or a comedy?” Same, girl. Same.
