As much as we love a neutral eye look, we also love playing around with colorful eyeshadows. Whether it’s for work or leisure time, using one-color shadows can make you look more awake, especially when they’re vibrant. Further proof are the many celebrities who’ve been rocking these recently.

Mariel Padilla
Makeup artist Mark Kingson Qua did an all-yellow eye on Mariel Padilla as part of his “Road to 100 Looks of Mariel” goal. He didn’t just place the color on her lids, he also applied it on the lower lash line for the full effect. This also reminded us of how yellow eyeshadow became trendy thanks to makeup looks seen on Anteprima and Pam Hogg’s runways.

Georgina Wilson
During the first night of the Sunnies Face Party, Georgina Wilson opted for a colorful outfit and a wash of purple on her lids. The shade popped even more when she wore a blonde wig for the occasion. Robbie Pinera made it less intense by keeping the lower lash line neutral.

Lauren Young
Lauren Young recently posted a quick Instagram tutorial on her pink eyeshadow look, which she said was inspired by Saab Magalona’s gig look. To make the color stand out more, she placed white eyeshadow first as a base. She then went for a matte then glitter pink eyeshadow. You can also rip a page from Cardi B and add a neon pink liner.

Elisse Joson
Elisse Joson once sported a striking blue eyeshadow that became the focal point of her almost-neutral look. Mark Kingson extended the color up to the arch of Elisse’s brows and the rest of her eye was kept bare. Her temples looked a bit bronzed and her skin was glowing from a subtle highlight similar to her Instagram glow. We’re guessing this look was inspired by the many blue eyeshadow looks that popped up thanks to Kim Kardashian and Patrick Starrr’s makeup lines.

Saab Magalona
As mentioned earlier, Saab Magalona often wears monochromatic shadows when she’s performing with her band Cheats. The look above is one example. Although she doesn’t have a neon color on her lids, you can still find a grayish blue shadow that’s either glittery or metallic. That will make your eyes look more awake!
