September just started last weekend and we’re already feeling a cooler breeze in the evening—or it might just be me since I get cold easily. Either way, Christmas season has officially begun for Filipinos and it’s time to get ourselves ready for the changing climate. So we’re turning to Yassi Pressman for ways to warm and bundle up for when that happens.
The actress is currently in Calgary, Alberta with Bela Padilla, Xian Lim, and others. In one post, she shared that she still feels chilly even though it’s technically summer over there. It’s kind of a similar situation here in the Philippines so we chose the most climate-appropriate pieces inspired by Yassi’s OOTDs.
Ugly-cute sweater
Holiday dressing really isn’t complete without an ugly-cute sweater. Yassi wore an oversized one with pink and white stripes during their long flight to Calgary. It’s a good, cozy choice if you want to stay comfy in the plane.

Bright long-sleeve top
When she’s not wearing a long coat, Yassi opts for long-sleeved sweaters while walking around. This one is in a mustard yellow shade that’s in line with the Gen Z yellow trend. While she paired her top with a rose gold maxi skirt, you can also wear this with regular jeans.

Flowy maxi skirt
Speaking of maxi skirts, you can choose to wear one too in place of your mini skirts. Go for a striking shade like red with noticeable pleats or ruffles. Plus, the length will be enough to keep your knees from shaking.

Denim jacket with extra warmth
Admit it, you don’t really see a lot of trench coats here in the Philippines. People either wear cardigans, hoodies, or denim jackets when it gets cold. Yassi wore the latter with a faux fur collar over a black turtleneck while meeting with fans. This detail will keep you extra toasty, especially if you wear an updo all the time.

No sandals
When you’re in a cold place or when it’s raining, your first shoe choice is anything close-toed. For Yassi, she wore sneakers while walking around Calgary and even biking. We suggest you go for a pair that can be paired easily with any outfit.
