In the middle of New York Fashion Week, The Gypsy Sport showed a different side of fashion through their collection. Starting off with a moment of silence to honor the victims of 9/11 and instructing everyone in the audience to find their inner peace, the show tapped into the spiritual. Among “FernGully fairy children of varying shapes, sizes, and ages, all dressed up in designer Rio Uribe’s Mother Earth–meets–urban goddess clothes,” as Vogue described, was Lourdes Leon—Madonna’s daughter—who strutted the runway wearing a beaded shell body-chain bra, uber-ripped jeans, bright green leaves as headpiece, and minuscule sunglasses. Though she has previously modeled for the Converse x MadeMe collaboration, this was her first time walking the runway in New York.
Though she is relatively new, she already has a great understanding of the fashion industry, and is reportedly becoming one of the young style stars to watch in the industry. We bet her mom is proud. We could totally see her pulling off that very same outfit, too.
