The winter clothes you can wear in the Philippines

Winter is coming—in other parts of the world—which means shops are filled with winter fashion pieces. Racks are filled with coats and shelves and stacked with thick sweaters. If you’ve been shopping, you probably think that you can’t wear these pieces in the Philippine climate. While others stock up for their winter travels, you can shop for everyday wear in Manila. Believe it or not you can actually make these clothes appropriate for warmer weather, you just have to style them the right way.

Uniqlo Ultra Light Down

My current fashion fave is this jacket from Uniqlo. Don’t be fooled, it is think and light enough to wear in the Philippines. When you’re feeling chilly at the office or somewhere indoors, just throw this on. Seriously, it’s so soft. It also comes in a pocketable pouch. Available at Glorietta 5.

Charles & Keith Classic Ankle Boots

You may think boots are just for cold climates, but I think otherwise. It just depends on how you style it. For everyday use, cop a pair of classic ankle boots. You can wear these to work with trousers or on a casual day with shorts or a dress. Available at SM Megamall.

Mango Ribbed Midi Dress

A turtleneck top might seem too warm so get a dress option instead. The flowy skirt makes it easy to move around in and is breezy as well. Spruce up your ensemble with comfortable sneakers and colorful accessories. Available at Bonifacio High Street.

H&M Glittery Tights

Tights don’t have to be worn just during the winter time. Get a glittery pair that you can wear underneath a party dress. Wear equally shimmery jewelry to complete the look. Available at Robinsons Galleria.

Zara Corduroy Trousers

Corduroy is thicker type of fabric but there’s are ways it can be warm weather-appropriate. Style these wide-leg pants with a simple cami or crop top. Your legs will be nice and toasty while your top keeps you cool. Available at Power Plant Mall.
