Harry Styles and Daniel Padilla are making us want to wear colorful suits too

There’s something about men in colorful, elaborate suits that get women swooning. Gone are the days when they’re mostly required to wear black-tie ensembles and just go with whatever makes them feel (and look) good. One of the most popular guys to do this in this generation is Harry Styles, who looks like a Gucci floral suit catalog during his tours.

Then, earlier this week, Daniel Padilla wore Starburst-hued suits from pink to yellow for his comeback concert. Timothée Chalamet also rocked a black Alexander McQueen suit with red floral prints.

Seeing men go for what is considered “feminine” is like a middle finger to heteronormative standards. It also doesn’t mean that they’re less manly for wearing these pieces. But aside from wanting all the men in our lives to cop suits like these, we also want them for our own wardrobes. So here are blazers that perfectly encapsulate these eye-catching outfits.

Gucci Floral-Print Wool and Mohair-Blend Blazer

Of course we’re starting with Gucci. This wool blazer is from Alessandro Michele’s “Alchemist’s Garden” collection from fall 2017. It’s printed with wild red roses and lined with light blue silk inside. If you want to fully dress like Harry, you can get the coordinating floral pants as seen hereAvailable on Net-a-Porter.

Kenzo Vintage Floral Blazer

Here’s another floral-blazer that’s more vibrant with red, blue, yellow, and pink blooms. It has front-flap pockets, light blue buttons, and buttoned sleeve cuffs. This is also a vintage piece from Kenzo’s archive so expect some imperfections. Available on Farfetch.

Dorothy Perkins Quiz Green and White Striped Jacket

This striped suit is giving us girlboss vibes, meaning you can easily wear this to any work meeting and feel empowered. This blazer also comes with matching pants with vertical stripes that’ll make your legs appear longer. Pair this ensemble with black stilettos and you’re ready for the day. Available at SM Megamall.

Topshop Leopard Print Jacket

Animal print has been trendy again this year and this jacket is a great addition to your current wardrobe. It comes in a fiery red color that you can wear in the office or even a night out, giving you that ’70s vibe. Again, these have matching trousers if you really want to make a statement. Available at Power Plant Mall.

H&M Linen Blend Jacket in Cerise

If you’re not ready for prints yet and want to start out with solid colors first, follow Daniel’s lead and opt for this pink jacket. It’s darker than the one he wore for his show, and you can wear it with a blouse, polo, or even a dress. Available at SM Makati.

Custom-made suit

Can’t find the right one for you? You can always have them custom-made! Masanting Sastreria, for example, is known for their bespoke suits for both men and women. They’re also not scared to use pastel and darker colors, as well as prints. Add them to your contacts list in case you need something done for certain occasions. Located at 2/F The Refinery, The Fort Strip, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.
