I remember, when I was a kid, I saw my grandmother wearing an animal print dress and I remarked that she looked funny. Yes, it was definitely not a nice thing to do but kids don’t have filters sometimes. Growing up, animal print was considered tacky and was usually used for clothes that weren’t flattering. Imagine early 2000s party dresses. In 2018, however, things have changed. Whether it’s leopard print or snakeskin, brands are making clothes many people would actually consider wearing. The options are definitely a lot cuter but it can still be intimidating to wear if you’re not used to eye-catching clothes. But don’t worry because there are many ways to style animal prints without looking like you belong in a zoo. Here are just some ways you can do it.
Ermanno Scervino Animal Print Slim Trousers
Leopard print can be a little crazy. A subtle way to wear this print without it being too overwhelming is to look for an unusual color. Instead of the usual brown, why not try dark blue? These trousers look so fun to wear but not too much that you couldn’t wear them to work. Available on Farfetch.

One of my favorite animal prints right now is snakeskin. Incorporate it into your wardrobe with this dress. The buttons along the front break up the print making it easy on the eyes. Finish it off with some white boots or heels. Available at Power Plant Mall.

If you plan on wearing zebra print, just style it the same way you would a striped clothing piece. For this skirt, keep the focus on the print by wearing a solid color on top. It can be something simple like black or something more bold like red or blue. Available on Net-a-Porter.
Bershka Animal Print Ankle Boots
An easy way to add animal print to your outfit is with shoes. This is also a great option if you’re not too comfortable with prints yet. Don’t worry, you can easily wear these boots with jeans, a T-shirt, and a black or brown jacket. Available at SM Aura Premier.

Cow spots might not be the first animal print that comes to mind but why not give it a shot? I’ve been seeing this print everywhere and want to try it out for myself. Stradivarius Animal Print Tulle Long Sleeved T-shirt
If you don’t want the print to be too overpowering, cop a sheer option. This top is see through, making the pattern more subtle. Pop a bralette or bodysuit underneath if you want to cover up a bit.
