Pure Magic 2019 trends that are anything but metallic

We’re days away from February but that didn’t stop Star Magic from throwing a last-minute New Year bash. Last night, stars gathered for the Pure Magic 2019 party and they all wore their best shiny outfits. Aside from the obvious trends like metallics and glitter, we categorized other notable ones that graced the blue carpet. Maybe you can even take notes for your upcoming Valentine’s Day dates.

Enough rambling now. Here are the trends we saw:

Fringe and feathers is still in

These playful designs are going strong. This was proven by actresses Coleen Garcia, Shaina Magdayao, Kisses Delavin, Vivoree, and Sofia Andres.

Pantsuits over gowns

Almost every red carpet event we’ve seen the past couple of years have highlighted pantsuits of various designs. Pure Magic 2019 is no different as stars like Bea Alonzo opted for blazers, whereas Julia Barretto and Angelica Panganiban wore jumpsuits.

Two-piece, midriff-baring

Think: Britney Spears’ iconic ’90s looks wherein she’s wearing a crop top and pants. Done picturing it? Now just add embellishments and you’ve got a Pure Magic 2019 lewk. Check out how Ylona Garcia, Miho Nishida, Jessy Mendiola, and Loisa Andalio did just that.

Tiny slip dresses

It seems like Maris Racal, Sue Ramirez, and Maymay Entrata had the same idea and wore shimmery slip dresses. Meanwhile, Kathryn Bernardo stood out in a backless number.
