People are painting glittery pumpkins on their butts and we’re confused

Okay, so we talked about Halloween makeup trends this year and how they’ll be heavily influenced by popular culture. Not once did we expect people to do glittery pumpkin butts, but here we are.

The Sun” first spotted this trend on Instagram on cosmetic brand Go Get Glitter’s Instagram account. Makeup artist and co-founder Sophia Levy tells MarieClaire.com they wanted to add a Halloween spin to the glitter butt trend, which they made popular in 2017. “Our peach bum was, and still is, one of our most popular looks, so we wanted to recreate it with a Halloween twist!” she says.

Now for the question on everyone’s mind: How do you achieve this look? You just need black and orange paint to draw the pumpkin outline, then you fill up the spaces with chunky glitter. (The ones from Go Get Glitter are apparently biodegradable. So yay for eco-friendly shimmer!)

We don’t expect anyone to rock this at their family or company Halloween parties though. But what do you think of this trend? Would you do it?
