Don’t ignore your boobs when you moisturize

Breast health doesn’t just start and end with regular self-checks and visits to the OB-GYNE. You should also ensure your breasts’ skin is moisturized and protected as well.

The bust area has thin and delicate skin, which is prone to dryness and inflammation. One of the most common conditions women experience is eczema around the breasts and nipples. But you don’t have to wait for something extreme to happen before applying moisturizer. Boob skincare should be done every day!

If you don’t know what products to use, check out our list below.

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Lotion

Cocoa butter can lock in moisture and protects skin from oxidative stress, which makes it the perfect product for delicate skin. If you notice any dry patches on your chest area, apply Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Lotion. Available at Watson’s.

Philosophy Renewed Hope in a Jar Day Moisturiser for Dry Skin

Hyaluronic acid can also lock in moisture in the skin. Philosophy’s Renewed Hope in a Jar moisturizer is made with a triple blend of alpha hydroxy acids, an Asian fruit extract, and three forms of hyaluronate plus bisabolol. These nutrients will give you all-day hydration, and also turn dry and flaky skin into a dewy surface. Aside from your chest area, you can use this on your face before applying makeup. Available on Sephora PH.

Anese Those boobies tho. Boob Scrub

Boob scrubs are great for buffing away dead skin cells, bumps, and blemishes. This exfoliant from Anese is made of over six botanical extracts, orange peel oil, and jojoba seed wax to ensure your skin is smooth and healthy. Remember to use this carefully and to not scrub too hard to prevent skin damage. Available online.

Motherlove Nipple Cream

If you’re a mom, you might’ve experienced sore nipples due to breastfeeding. This is why nipple creams come in handy as they soothe the area and they don’t need to be washed off before feeding your baby. Even those without kids should have a nipple cream on hand in case they experience any discomfort due to soreness and cracked nipples. Available at Babymama stores.

Magwai Reef-Safe Sunscreen Lotion

Again, breasts have delicate skin that can easily get inflamed. So be sure to apply sunscreen on your chest area, especially if you’re wearing a low-neck top. Magwai’s sunscreen lotion has SP50+ and is sweat-resistant. You can also use this at the beach as it’s reef-safe. Available at Retail Lab, Glorietta 3.
