Call Irene and Seulgi unstoppable ’cause they just dropped a new single

Red Velvet’s Irene and Seulgi has been one of the most awaited sub-unit debuts in K-Pop. Their “Monster” release has been widely praised both by critics and fans and has already taken home one music show win from Music Bank last July 17.

While fans are still reeling and processing the “Monster” music video which was an all-around treat, from the visuals, to the concept and choreography, the sub-unit is showing no signs of stopping from creating bops and out-of-this-world concepts.

They dropped their follow-up single “Naughty” earlier today. Totally different from “Monster’s” vibe, the new music video sees the duo in a futuristic (dare I say apocalyptic?) setting. Most of the video is dedicated to choreography, showing the waacking and voguing (dancing styles all about sharpness, lines and elegance in poses) chops of Red Velvet’s best dancers to an electro-pop beat.

But “Naughty” isn’t the last thing they have in store for ReVeLuvs. The video for “Naughty” that premiered today is labeled “Episode 1” so there might be more releases in the upcoming days. It might be a solo performance of ”Naughty,” but again, Irene and Seulgi proved that they can pull off cool and varied concepts one after the other both with Red Velvet and as a sub-unit, so my hopes are high for a whole new song.

Whatever it is, we’ll be keeping an eye out for it—and of course, adding “Naughty” to our streaming lists.
