This coming weekend, you probably have some time on your hands to declutter at home. You’re also probably gearing up to have some guests ove all the more you have to spruce up your area. Still, among the things you to throw out, there are still some things you can salvage and turn into décor for your tabletop.
Save some paper and get your creative juices flowing as you put together this paper bouquet. Who knows? Thi might help you think of more ingenious ways to save things you might have otherwise just trashed.
What you’ll need
Pages from old books
Styrofoam ball
Wire
Glue
Scissors
Directions
1. Layer some sheets of book paper over one another.
2. Cut a petal shape within the paper size. Upon cutting the first half of the petals*, you can fold over the first half the other side to ensure a perfectly symmetrical petal.
3. Cut a small slit at the bottom of the petal. The slit should be around 1/3 the length of the petal.
4. Because of this slit, you will have two flaps at the bottom of your petals. With glue, stick one flap over the other, causing the top end of the petals to raise a little.
5. Arrange the petals< in a circle, with one on top of the other. Start with three petals first. Once you get used to making the flowers with three petals, move on to adding more.
6.Space out the petals evenly, and glue the center together.
7.To create a bouquet, stick the petals on the wire as stems. You can also stick all the flowers to a rounded surface, like a styrofoam ball.
