When they say the industry is getting younger and younger, they mean it. Fifteen-year-old Kaia Gerber is the official face for Marc Jacobs Beauty 2017.
Kaia is the daughter of supermodel Cindy Crawford. She quickly caught the attention of world-renowed IMG Models and snagged deals with Alexander Wang, Miu Miu, and Chrome Hearts. This deal with Marc Jacobs Beauty is her first major foray in the makeup world.
For 2017, a spokesperson for Marc Jacobs Beauty said they’ll be focusing more on eye products. (Spot the pigment on Kaia’s lids in the BTS photos). The images we’ll be seeing soon are lensed by David Sims and makeup is done by Diane Kendal, who just annonced her collab with MAC Cosmetics.
Going back to Kaia though, this campaign puts her in same light as 17-year-old Lily-Rose Depp who’s the face of the new Chanel fragrance. Makes you think about what you did as a teenager.
