A Versace store in California is facing a racism lawsuit as an ex-employee claims that they have a code for African-American customers.
According to the lawsuit, the store’s manager would require employees to use the code “D410” when an African-American customer would come in the store. This is also the code used for their all-black shirts.
When the unnamed ex-employee, who was also African-American, disagreed on the code, he claims that he was mistreated while working there. According to TMZ, he wasn’t given any breaks and was fired after two weeks because he allegedly hadn’t “lived the luxury life.” Yikes.
The ex-employee is suing the Versace store for unpaid wages and damages. Meanwhile, Versace denied all allegations and is requesting to dismiss the lawsuit.
