How to Get Bronze-Looking Skin Like Issa Pressman

As the rainy season continues, my skin is getting pastier and pastier by the day. With the lack of sunlight, I am starting to lose the definition of features on my face. Luckily, we have makeup so that we can sort of cheat our way into getting bronze-looking skin. Another bonus is having Issa Pressman share her tips and tricks on doing her makeup and achieving that beachy glow all year. In her first ever makeup tutorial posted on YouTube, she takes us through her step-by-step makeup process, mentioning the different products she uses. She is also joined by her dog Killa the Dachshund, adding extra entertainment to the video.

If you haven’t seen her video yet, we’ve listed some of the products that she uses for a sun-kissed glow look.

Nivea Sun-Kissed Radiance Gradual Tanner & Body Lotion

For a year-round sun-kissed glow you can use this tanning lotion from Nivea. It has Gingko extract, which will give your skin an even, natural looking tan. This also doubles as body lotion and will leave your skin smooth and tan within five days. Available at select Watsons branches.

Inglot Mattifying Under Makeup Base

It looks like Issa agrees with us when it comes to mattifying primers. To keep her makeup in place, she uses Inglot’s Mattifying Under Makeup Base. Its smooth consistency leaves the skin with a velvety finish. Available at Glorietta 5.

Max Factor Colour Corrector Stick: The Revitaliser

Issa also has several color correcting sticks but only uses the one for under eye circles. Because she usually sleeps late the Revatiliser from Max Factor neutralizes the dark circles she might have in the morning. She places the product in an inverted triangle shape under her eyes and blends using her fingers. Available at select Watsons branches.

Mac Studio Fix Fluid Foundation

This medium to full coverage foundation gives Issa the perfect canvas for the rest of her makeup. She mixes it with a bit of water to make it more lightweight on the skin. Grab this one in your shade for this glowy look. Available at SM Makati.

Mac Waterweight Foundation

As a highlighting base, she uses Mac’s Waterweight Foundation. She uses this lighter shade under her eyes, on her chin, forehead, and the bridge of her nose. She uses a small paddle brush to blend the foundation. Available at SM Makati.

Inglot Stick Foundation

She must be a fan of stick products because her contour also comes in stick form. She uses Inglot’s Foundation in a darker shade to add more dimensions to her face by swiping it under her cheekbones, on the sides of her nose, and on her forehead. Issa also notes how when you take photos with flash, that’s when you see if your makeup is blended or not so she uses a bigger paddle brush to blend everything out. Available at Glorietta 5.

Inglot Freedom Palette

Issa uses this palette to highlight, contour, and add blush to her face. She layers the powder contour on top of the stick foundation to add more depth and mattify those areas. She then uses two blush shades, the lighter one on the apples of her cheeks, chin and nose. The darker blush is then blended in with the contour. Available at Glorietta 5.

Kylie Cosmetics Kylighter In Salted Caramel

For extra glow, she adds kylighter to her cheekbones, sweeping the product in a C formation from her brows. This highlighter shade is a warm midtone gold that will add that caramel-like color to your face. Available online.
