These Chocolate Peanut Butter Fat Bombs Are The Healthy Treats You’ve Been Looking For

Last month, I wrote about how intermittent fasting improved my mood and energy. Just a quick update: I’ve lost about five pounds and I’m still feeling pretty good. I’m not going to lie, I have had one too many cheat days this month but I’m trying to keep things on track. Despite being on this fast for a few months now, I still crave for sweet treats. Throughout the day, I will exclaim, “I want a donut!” at least 10 times. As someone who has a sweet tooth, cutting out sugar is the most difficult part of this lifestyle change.

Lucky for me my parents, who are also intermittent fasting, found a dessert we can indulge in. They’re called fat bombs and they are delicious. When I first tried it, I was surprised there wasn’t any sugar in it. There are many recipes online but for the batch I have, there is xylitol instead of sweetener.

You can have up to three of these no-bake treats a day. Have one with each meal or in my case, I save them all for after dinner.

Ingredients:
3/4 cup melted coconut oil
9 1/2 tbsp peanut butter (chunky or smooth depending on your preference)
3 tbsp of cocoa powder
9 tbsp melted butter
3 tbsp xylitol

Procedure:
1. Add all ingredients into a bowl and stir till everything is combined
2. Pour the mixture into an ice cube tray or silicone baking mold
3. Freeze for 30 minutes and store in the fridge
