With the temperature hitting 40 degrees Celsius, we’re all looking for ways to stay cool. But when you’re out and about in the city, you don’t have a lot of options. Aside from keeping cool in air-conditioned places, indulge in some ice-cold treats. We suggest ice cream, soft serve, and gelato. Don’t just order these cold desserts after a meal. There are lots of places either dedicated to just serving ice cream or have a wide selection of this creamy concoction. Don’t just take our word for it, check out the list below and start mapping out your next food trip.
Bucky’s
Aside from their brownies and hot meals, Bucky’s serves some mean soft serve. You can order just one flavor or my favorite is to get a swirl, which mixes two flavors of your choice. It’s good on its own but you can get toppings like crushed polvoron, corn flakes, and chopped almonds. Located at 5666 Don Pedro Street, Makati City.
Emack & Bolio’s
Emack & Bolio’s is finally scooping in Manila and they have loads to offer. Their flavors include S’mOreo, Deep Purple Chip, and Strawberry. You can also choose from their assortment of cones that are covered in different types of cereal, chocolate, and sprinkles. Located at Ayala Malls the 30th, 30 Meralco Avenue, Pasig City.
Manila Creamery
Manila Creamery offers a wide variety of cold treats for you to enjoy. Order something simple like their cookie butter soft serve in a cone. You can also order a scoop of gelato topped with a torched marshmallow. They also have inventive flavors like salted egg cheesecake and sticky rice. Located at UP Town Center, 216 Katipunan Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City.
Farmacy
If you want to build your own sundae, check out Farmacy. Pick from their flavors like hazelnut and salted caramel and go crazy with the toppings. (My personal favorite are the brownies.) Their other sweet treats include banana split, ice cream sandwiches, and ice cream pie. Located at Net Lima, 4th Avenue corner 26th Street, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.
Freezer Burn
Grab some warm sweets to go with your choice of ice cream at Freezer Burn. One option is their cookies and junk food ice cream served with a side of Nutella doughnuts. They also have dark chocolate ice cream served with churros and mint ice cream partnered with gooey brownies. If this sweetness overload is too much for you, you can also order just the ice cream in a cone or cup. Located at B3, Bonifacio High Street, 9th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.
