This online feud between burger joints is the best thing you’ll see today

A couple of days ago, people were freaking out online because IHOP released a clip that they’re changing their name to “IHOB,” or “IHOb” because they just flipped the P. Clever.

Netizens tried to guess what the B stood for. Majority of them said that it was “breakfast” or “bacon,” obviously still sticking to the pancake theme. But IHOP threw a curveball at everyone and announced that it’s actually “burgers.” So now known as the International House of Burgers.

That’s not the best part. After making the announcement, other burger joints have been throwing shade at IHOb. Wendy’s tweeted, “Can’t wait to try a burger from the place that decided pancakes were too hard.” To which IHOb replied, “We don’t want any beef with you, we just want to share our beef with the world.”

A&W also made fun of the name change by flipping their logo and adding the tagline, “We don’t know what it means either.”

I don’t know about you but this is better than seeing celebrities feuds on my feed.

Meanwhile, foodies are worried that IHOb will nix the pancakes and just become a burger joint. But IHOP president Darren Rebelez told Business Insider, “The way we look at it is, we get to have the best of both worlds. Burgers are really kind of unexpected for us, so we had to do something creative to get everyone’s attention. But the pancakes aren’t going anywhere.” He also added that the name change is temporary.

We’re still getting our pancakes and we’re entertained by these burger joint social media accounts. Everyone wins, I guess?
