If you’re a working woman and want to be a boss in life, Amal Clooney can be your new inspiration. She is an international human rights lawyer who got her Master of Laws in NYU. According to Business Insider, “She has represented everyone from former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko to the country of Armenia in its fight for recognition of the Armenian genocide.”
Aside from being a lawyer, she is also a mother to twins with her husband George Clooney. Yes, Amal is one to look up to in terms of career but she also has great fashion sense. She has been seen on red carpet events but her everyday work looks are also standouts. You ladies can even take inspiration from her style if you want to amplify what you wear to the office.
Tweed chic

Just like Queen Elizabeth II, Amal is also a fan of tweed. She has been spotted in a few tweed outfits, including this one. It is a two-piece set in a neutral cream color. For something similar, this one has a similar cut and color. It also has two pockets and fringe detail along the hem. Finish your look with the same colored shoes and bag.
Bringing plaid back

Spruce up your regular work outfit with a pair of printed pants. A safe one to start off with us plaid or checkered. Amal wore hers with a black top and trench coat. For your next meeting, wear this gray pair from Zara. The legs have a loose fit, making them comfortable to wear for a long period of time.
Shapes and colors

If you like wearing dresses to work, pick up this geometric one Amal wore. It is a midi length and has a collar and button details. There’s also a slit at the back so you can walk easily. You can also add a belt around your waist for more definition just like Amal.
The comfortable work shoe

Heels aren’t for everyone but luckily there are other shoe options that are appropriate for the work setting. Before heading to the airport, Amal was spotted wearing a pair of Oxford shoes with an orange sole. Cole Haan has many options that are similar like these. It’s made of black leather with velcro closure. Unlike other Oxfords, the heel has cushioning that is made for shock absorption.
Giving pencil skirts a break

For workwear, I also see many women in pencil skirts. But, if you want to switch it up, go for a midi-length skirt with an A-line cut. This one from H&M is made of satin so you can wear this from work and then straight to an event right after. Pair this with a bright-colored top and neutral shoes.
Making prints work

If you’re not so comfortable wearing prints but want to start branching out, try gingham. Amal wore a gingham top and made it the focal point of her outfit by pairing it with a black skirt and shoes. This top has a peplum details so you can wear it with trousers. You can also tuck it in to make it looked more polished.

Lastly, no work ensemble is complete without a work bag. Amal is often seen carrying a large black one, which looks like it could fit everything she might need. This bag can fit your laptop and other work essentials. It also comes with a long strap so you can wear it across your body when you’re in transit.
