Looks like it’s officially fashionable to wear your suits with flip-flops or sneaker-looking heels

NYFW is one of the biggest celebrations for the fashion-obsessed. The spring-summer 2019 shows are currently ongoing and they don’t disappoint.  From the clothes itself, to accessories, to the makeup—everything is a looker. As the looks can be so incredibly put together, it’s hard take in every fashion item all at once. Here’s something we always notice: shoes, shoes, shoes. They can make or break a look, after all. Sometimes, we find our eyes drifting—and staying—from the model’s clothes, to the model’s feet. Here are some that stood out from the runway.

Prabal Garung

Prabal Garung’s show looked like a fiesta on the runway. The Nepalese-American fashion designer’s colorful collection was complemented with bright and feathered low heels.

Tory Burch

Tory Burch paired tailored suits and flowy dresses with the unexpected: canvas high-top sneakers with duck boot silhouette, in playful colors such as violet blue, yellow, orange, and green, with matching cotton laces.

Monse

This collection went heavy on classic patterns that are updated and modernized. Its footwear prominently featured silk fabric, using the same patterns, so the looks flows seamlessly from  head to toe.

Tom Ford

Fashion powerhouse Tom Ford brought elegance with an edge to the runway through their shoe collection. The velvet in pastel, or darker hues, with metallic gold details looked simply stunning.

Jeremy Scott

Known for his bold, fun designs, Jeremy Scott’s footwear are no exception. Among the collection are bedazzled boots, and futuristic-cartoonish boots.

Tibi

The “advanced womenswear brand” added drama to the runway by pairing their pastel or color-blocked suits and dresses with mesh ankle booties. Oh, and flip flops made several appearances too.

Sies Marjan

Can’t believe I’m saying this, but Sies Marjan actually made the heels x sneakers combo elegant. Now you can channel both your sneaker-chick and heels-kinda-girl persona simultaneously. Their bright, strappy heels look real sick, too.
