Salvador Panelo is trying to make pinky rings for men happen

Now that we’re done being confused over some things Pres. Rodrigo Duterte said, let’s talk about another eye-catching thing during that “showbiz-like interview.” Particularly, the bling on legal counsel Salvador Panelo’s pinky.

Panelo was noticeably donning a gold pink ring with a black flat stone in the center. He’s also worn other designs in the past.

This accessory is mostly seen among women like Gwyneth Paltrow, who wore a ruby pink pinky ring in 2016. But several men also wear these, either as a sign of wealth and status, or to show their association to a certain group (i.e. the mafia).

One famous man who often wears a pinky ring is Prince Charles. According to Bloomberg, the signet ring has the family crest or a personal signature engraved in the center. Maybe Panelo is bougie enough to have something similar? That, or he just likes to wave his hands around while his rings blind us all from the current, terrifying issues in this country.

So today, we have Panelo working double as an interviewer, mediating a ranting president, and possibly starting an accessory trend among men. Hashtag big ring energy.
