As expected, the new beauty items coming out this holiday season involves some sort of frost. Aside from the packaging, you can also see this in lipstick formulas—particularly the glittery and metallic bullet ones that have been coming out.
The comeback of bullet lipsticks has been big. Prominent brands like Kylie Cosmetics and ColourPop have created versions of their popular shades in creamier finishes, catering to those who aren’t into matte lips. It’s the same shift with glitter and metallic lipsticks, which have popularly come in liquid lipstick forms as well.

Huda Beauty Power Bullet
Huda Beauty is coming out with three limited-edition glittery lipsticks for the holidays. The shades are NYE (deep red), Afterparty (pink-purple), and Cake Day (hot pink) with shimmery finishes. Based on the swatches on Instagram, it’s expected to be crazy pigmented. Available on Huda Beauty’s website starting Dec. 4 (Philippine time).
MAC Cosmetics Shiny Pretty Things Lipstick in At Leisure
As part of their Shiny Pretty Things line, MAC came out with three lipsticks in matte, cremesheen, and frost finishes. Of course, we’re here for the latter which comes in the pink-beige shade, At Leisure. It’s a nude color that goes with any skin tone and it has a nice gold sheen to it. Available at SM Makati.
Too Faced Metallic Sparkle Lipstick in Hot Flash
The Metallic Sparkle Lipsticks promise to give you full-coverage “dramatic glitter lips.” Hot Flash is a wine red shade with silvery sparkles in it. We can imagine this being paired with a black dress and smokey eye look. Available on Sephora PH.
Pat McGrath Labs Blitztrance Lipstick in Fuchsia Perfect
The brand describes these lipsticks as “shockingly iridescent” and claims to amplify lips via the ultra-reflective pearls in the lipstick. The colors range from the usual nudes, pinks, and reds, to eye-catching yellow gold, mixed with different-colored glitters. Fuchsia Perfect, for example, is a hot pink shade with blue and pink shimmer—just imagine the colors shifting in the light. They didn’t mention what kind of finish it has but promises that it’ll stay on all night. Available online.
Jeffree Star Cosmetics Lip Ammunition in Beam Me Up
Jeffree Star recently launched his alien-themed holiday collection that includes five metallic Lip Ammos. Beam Me Up in described as a “multidimensional bronze with a gold/green/pink shift.” On lighter skin tone, it appears pink; while it translates more coppery on darker skin tone. Available online.
Fenty Beauty Frosted Metal Lipstick 3-Piece Set in Snow Nights
Why get just one Fenty Beauty frosted metal lipstick when you can get three? The Snow Nights set comes with shades Frost Sauce (frosted periwinkle), Fro$t Sauce (frosted rose gold), and Fog Snog (frosted purple-gray). Maybelline Color Sensational Matte Metallic Lipstick in Molten Bronze
Molten Bronze is a red-brown shade gives off a gold sheen. This can easily replace your go-to brown lipstick for the meantime. It’s also matte but expect some shimmery transfers when you’re drinking on a glass. Available at select Watsons stores.
