For 2019, Hedi Slimane’s first order of business as Celine creative director is to release a handbag that’s said to launch the brand’s reboot: the 16 Bag. WWD noted that this is a smart move on Hedi’s part since 65 percent of Celine’s revenue comes from accessories.
The 16 is named after the brand’s headquarters and atelier at 16 Rue Vivienne in Paris. “The 16 handbag is the ultimate symbol of Hedi Slimane’s vision for Celine: it emphasizes our knowledge of incredible craftsmanship,” said Séverine Merle, Celine CEO. Also, Lady Gaga was the first one to own this bag and debuted it during a press tour for A Star Is Born.
When I look at the medium-sized bag, I feel like I can fit a planner, book, and most items I wouldn’t normally put in my bag because it’s going to take up space. But here’s what we would put in the 16.

If you’re an avid fan of Game of Thrones and want to know the detailed history of the Targaryens, then you have to grab George R. R. Martin’s new book. It’s 736 pages long (shorter than his other books which reach more than 1,000) and it’s considered a spin-off of A Song of Fire and Ice.
