Earlier this month, Kim Kardashian threw shade at fast fashion brands that have been knocking off her designer outfits before she was seen in them. Although she sounded like she was joking on Twitter, the issue is serious as brands have posted duplicates of Kardashian-Jenner outfits just hours after they were seen wearing them.
It happened again recently when Fashion Nova copied Kim’s vintage Thierry Mugler cutout dress. There’s obviously a conspiracy happening here and Diet Prada’s discovery is leading to one plausible theory.
Just a few hours ago, Fashion Nova posted a photo of the knockoff dress with the caption named the “Winning Beauty Cut Out Gown.” Take note that this brand has had a track record of copying many Kardashian-Jenner looks with models who resemble them.
Diet Prada was quick to call it out and asked their followers, “This begs the question: Did Fashion Nova whip up the dress overnight in their Los Angeles atelier after seeing Kim in it or is she peddling her vintage finds to mass retailers ahead of debuting them for a calculated, timely release?”
They later updated their post after finding out that Fashion Nova already had this dress in its lineup since Feb. 14, 2019—four days before Kim wore her Mugler dress. Not only that, a video showed a filename that read “Kim dress.”
“Kim, you’ll never fess up to your sneaky lil collaborations, but we got all the receipts,” Diet Prada said. So, unless the people behind Fashion Nova are secretly psychics, this theory holds up.
As of writing, Kim hasn’t responded to the allegations. If this is true, then she has a looot of explaining to do.
