Metallic lipsticks that will have you feeling like a goddess

I know I’m not alone when it comes to going for bold lipstick shades. Purples and mattes are my go-to but there’s another finish I’ve been looking at. Metallic lipsticks aren’t new but lately, more brands have been coming out with insane colors. Sure, there are still the usual reds and nudes but I want the gold, blue, and greens. You might think this is more for costume makeup but you are wrong. Check out the list below to see some options, I also gave some suggestions on where and what to wear it with.

Mary Kay At Play Matte Metallic Liquid Lipstick in Hot Pink Platinum

The formula of this is creamy, light, and easy to apply, Line your lips first if you want clean lines. This shade is a mix between a hot pink shade and something shiny. Make this the focal point of your look or go all the way with equally pink metallic eyeshadow. Available online.

J.Cat Beauty Flash Metal Metallic Matte Lip in Sonic Boom

Metallics can go deep and dark too like this plum shade. Take a risk and wear this to a nighttime formal event. Imagine wearing this with a sleek gown and your hair in a low ponytail. The perfect balance between chic and rocker. Available at Uptown Mall.

Revlon Ultra HD Metallic Matte Liquid Lipcolor in Dark Blue

I’d go monochromatic with this shade and match it to my outfit. Perhaps a dark blue pantsuit set. Such a power look, I can already imagine it. Don’t let the color fool you, the formula is actually lightweight and moisturizing. No crusty lips here. Available at SM Makati.

L’Oréal Crushed Foils Metallic Lipstick in Brass

Crushed foil, that is exactly the kind of look I want when I wear a metallic lip color. Wear this on its own to make your lips look they’re been dusted with highlighter. You can also use this as a topper. This gives me serious Grecian goddess vibes-slash-gold painted street performer when applied. But, hey, I don’t hate it. Available at Watsons branches.

Too Faced Metallic Sparkle Lipstick in That Girl

If the glittery packaging isn’t enough to convince you to cop this, just look at the actual product. These are full coverage and infused with avocado oil to help nourish your lips. On a night out, swipe this on and people will definitely be calling you “That girl”—whatever that means. Available on Sephora PH.

Maybelline Matte Metallic Lipstick in Serpentine

I honestly believe more people should wear green lipstick. It can be more flattering than you think, especially on deeper skin tones. It’s buildable so you can adjust how intense you want the color to be. I say, however, go all the way with it. Available on Beauty MNL.

Dior Rouge Dior Liquid Lip Stain in Hologram

After seeing swatches of this shade and how it looks on the lips, I might just cop this for myself. It’s a hologram silver shade. It’s not super opaque, so it blends with the color of your lips, giving it a very light lilac shade. I imagine this is the lipstick I would wear in space to match my spacesuit. Available at SM Makati.

Tom Ford Lip Lacquer Liquid Metal in Metal Flame

The finish of this lipstick is next level. It looks like, well, liquid metal. It’s like they found some orange metal laying around, melted it down, and bottled it. It’s described as a liquid-gel that has an “optical plumping effect.” Seriously, people might be able to see their own reflection on your lips. Available at Rustan’s The Beauty Source.
