We’re obsessed with Miss Universe Vietnam H’Hen Niê’s terno-inspired outfit

A few weeks ago, Miss Universe Vietnam 2017 H’Hen Niê was seen with Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray hanging out during #NYFW. Now, we see her attending a special occasion with a dress inspired by our very own terno.

She first wore the dress during the Youth Congress in Naga last Feb. 2, and again during the Áo Dái Festival 2019 yesterday where she was chosen as the ambassador. Áo dái is Vietnam’s national garment, which is a long silk tunic worn over pants worn by both sexes, but usually women.

“This is the second time I wore this special costume, the combination between Vietnamese and Philippines culture, in a special occasion ‘Áo dái Festival 2019,’” she said in an Instagram post. “ I’m so happy to be the ambassador of ‘Áo dái Festival 2019.’ And so honored to introduce the beauty of Áo dái with friends around the world! I love Áo dái.”

The white dress was designed by Áo dái Kinzu (Song Toan) and was styled with a crown, earrings, and brooch that were adorned with pearls.

It sure looks like we love Áo dái too, H’Hen Niê! It looks stunning!
