Take it from ‘Vogue,’ keep your eyes on Filipino model Noah Carlos

In case you missed it, Vogue recently released a list of models to watch out for from the fall 2019 fashion shows. They pointed out that although landing a runway gig has gotten easier because of social media, standing out is a different feat. Among the people who did, however, is 18-year-old Noah Carlos.

Noah might sound familiar to you because of their Depop store @loserthrift, which has over 39,000 followers. “I’m not the designer of my clothes, but I’m the curator of my shop, so I find inspiration [and] pull pieces. It was interesting to see something similar with designers; they have an inspiration board that they work around and then make it happen—on a much larger scale!” Noah shared.

The first time I came across Noah was on YouTube when they posted a bunch of thrift haul videos.

Their first ever fashion show was for Alexander Wang in December of 2018 and has walked for Maison Margiela, Helmut Lang, and Dries Van Noten since then.

“[It was] so fun to be a part of shows I have been watching for years, such a surreal moment, from my bed to the runway!” Yes, go get it, Noah! We can’t wait to see what else the fashion world has in store for you.
