Neon fashion is here to stay… for a while

Whether you’re scrolling through social media or shopping online or at the mall, I’m sure you’ve seen an ongoing trend: neon colors. The mannequins are dressed in it, the clothes are hung on the racks, they’re pretty much everywhere. Brands have splashed neon colors on anything they can get their hands on from cycling shorts to shoes, bags, and sweaters. Whatever your style is, there are sure to be neon-colored clothes to match. You might be put off by how obnoxious the colors can be but, trust me, they’re actually more wearable than you think. Speaking from experience, I am down for anything neon now and found these pieces you can shop.

Belt bags are still in and brands are coming out with so many neon options. This one from Oxygen is bright orange. The size is also pretty substantial with one main zippered compartment and two front pockets, both covered with a snap closure flap. This might just be your bag for the summer. Satin and neon? A combo I didn’t know I needed in my life. This skirt has a midi length and a zipper closure. Go all neon with a bodysuit in the same color or make it the stand-out piece with something neutral like a white cropped top. I would even wear this to work. Available at SM Aura Premier.

Adidas Originals Sleek S W

This shoe is one of Adidas’ new releases and I am living for it. It has a white leather upper and neon green rubber outsole. A good balance if you’re new to the neon trend. This is also a great option for the lazy girls since it has velcro fastening of laces. Available at Power Plant Mall.

A lot of people are intimidated by highlighter yellow clothes but give it a shot. You can dress this top up with a skirt and heels or dress it down with high-waisted jeans and sneakers. Try it out and you’ll see how versatile this color can actually be. Available at Greenbelt 5.

Carrying over from last year’s swimsuit trends, neon colors will still be seen.
