Barack Obama says women can solve world problems men created

On Dec. 16, former US president Barack Obama was keynote speaker in a private leadership event held by The Growth Faculty in Singapore. While he talked a bit about political polarization and the use of social media to falsify information, his speech was mainly about female leadership.

“Women, I just want you to know you are not perfect, but what I can say pretty indisputably is that you’re better than us [men],” said Obama as per BBC News.

He went on to say that leaders should know the limitations of their job—when to get involved and when to step aside: “If you look at the world and look at the problems, it’s usually old people, usually old men, not getting out of the way.”

The former president also said that if every country has more female leaders, then there would be “significant improvement” across all nations on “just about everything.”

We couldn’t agree more. As Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi said, “I think we [women] are the most powerful beings in the world and that we should be given every opportunity.”
