Savage X Fenty is starting the new year strong with the announcement of their first designer collaboration. Rihanna has tapped Adam Selman, the man behind her iconic naked dress at the 2014 CFDA Fashion Awards, for her lingerie brand’s Valentine’s Day capsule collection.
In an interview with Fashionista, Selman says that this collab has been in the works since 2018. “I don’t remember how, exactly, she approached me, but I feel like I saw her somewhere and she whispered in my ear, ‘You have to do Savage X Fenty with me.’I just looked at her and was like, ‘Okay.'”
Selman describes the Valentine’s Day collection as “a mix between Rihanna and me, as well as the Savage X customer who’s just unabashedly herself.” The pieces are already available on Savage X Fenty’s website and the designs range from frilly bras and panties to a sheer bridal lingerie set with heart pasties.
