The new emojis we’ll be waiting for this year are gender-inclusive

Emojis make texting a little more entertaining. Scrolling through your phone, I’m sure you’ll find an image for almost every situation. However, there have also been times where the perfect emoji you’re looking for doesn’t exist. If the transgender flag and piñata were some of the ones you’ve been waiting for, get excited because they will be releasing this year along with other new emojis.

Also included in the Emoji 13.0 rollout are more gender inclusive options as well as other skin tone variations. There’s definitely something for everyone in this update. As of writing, a release date hasn’t been announced. But, according to The Verge, new emojis are usually rolled out in the fall, so we’ll be waiting for that update towards the end of 2020.
