Just as we thought we can’t add enough things to look forward to after the pandemic, Lionsgate just announced that the new “Hunger Games” prequel is now in production. It’s based on Suzanne Collins’ recent book titled, “The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.”
In case you’re wondering what it’s all about, the story takes place around 64 years before the original series’ events. Directed by Francis Lawrence, it will follow the story of 18-year-old Coriolanus Snow (or President Snow as we know him) as he trains District 12’s female tribute for the 10th annual Hunger Games (ironic, ain’t it?).
As we can see from an excerpt released by Entertainment Weekly, Snow is a heroic man who once had a heart .
A release date for the prequel has yet to be announced. If you’re dying to know what happens in the story, you can wait for the book when it’s published on May 19.
