If you’ve been on TikTok this quarantine, you’re probably familiar with Inka Magnaye who recently got attention for her Philippine Airlines voice over video which features her and her mom Lindy Pellicer reciting in-flight safety precautions.
In her caption, the 31-year-old professional voice artist shared her experience working for the same brand with her mom. Just a few moments before she recorded for PAL, she reveals that her mom was the voice of the airline company back in the ’90s. It’s not the first time they worked back-to-back—Magnaye also shared how they were hired for a skincare brand, with her mom voicing the mature product line and her voicing the younger line.
A lot of people have since sent in their voice over requests, which consists of K-pop radio promos and even the iconic broadcast from “The Purge.” One of her most popular videos sees her doing a radio promo for BTS’ BANGBANGCON.
In a DM exchange with Magnaye, she revealed that she recently discovered the Korean boy band because of the quarantine. “[M]y VO goal is to hone my skills so that I can work with artists like them! I wan[t to] do concept albums with my voice[.] I want to apply at entertainment companies in [K]orea so I can be an in-house VO talent[:] making material for them, voicing things for their acts, and going on tour with them as their official announcer!” she wrote.
Well, this baby ARMY has the talent for it. Signal boosting this until Big Hit Entertainment hears her.
