Is Miley Cyrus’ new song “Midnight Sky” a collab with Dua Lipa?

If the mullet content on Miley Cyrus’ Instagram did nothing to parch your thirst for new music from her, don’t worry. The wait is soon to be over. On Aug. 5, the singer posted several teasers for her upcoming track “Midnight Sky” on Instagram. From the looks of it, we might be getting a release date for her seventh studio album “She Is Miley Cyrus” soon as well. Fingers crossed!

The first teaser uploaded on her Instagram is a short video of herself posing with a neon sign that spelled out the word disco with a bit of the song playing in the background. Then came a photo that looks like a cropped out still from the “Midnight Sky” music video where she’s wearing a bedazzled glove. Madonna vibes, am I right? She also posted a series of Instagram stories (which you can still see in her story highlights) that featured longer sneak peeks from the song and disco balls.

However, our favorite clue to what the song might bring is a photo of Cyrus and Dua Lipa together with the caption, “Dua has heard what you haven’t…. ?” Lipa replied to the post, “they are innnnn for a TREAT!!!!” Does this mean it’s a collab between the two? We sure hope so.

Dua Lipa has new music in store as well with the upcoming release of “Club Future Nostalgia: The Remix Album” which boasts collabs with Madonna, Missy Elliott, Gwen Stefani and Mark Ronson. It’s not hard to imagine that she’d be game to be a featured artist for Cyrus’ song. If anything, she’s probably saying yes all in the name of dance music.

So get your dancing shoes ready for when the pair drops their new bop.
