WFH hairstyles for your next video call? We have answers

These days, we’re always on our laptops—either working or attending online classes. In order to regain my sanity, I’ve been forming new routines. One of which is to glam up for work, even if there’s no video call happening on that day. Sadly, I’m not the best at hairstyling.

Before, when I’d wake up, I would just comb my hair and put it in a bun—and the first step is optional. But I realized recently that I could feel better about my meetings if I tried to mix things up with my hair for a change. It’s a good thing YouTube tutorials are a thing. They’ve given me so many ideas on how to style my hair, no matter how long or short it is. Here are some of the best I recommend:

Faux bangs

Prior to cutting my own bangs (yes, quarantine made me do it), I often found myself playing in front of the mirror, using the ends of my hair to check what I would look like with bangs. I knew that if I wanted the real deal, I would have to make a big commitment. So instead of buying faux bangs, I ended up looking for tutorials on how to achieve the same results without having to spend or waiting for my hair to grow back if I didn’t like it. Yes, you don’t even have to buy clip-on ones online to have faux bangs. Basically, you can make use of hair that’s already on your head by styling it until it looks like bangs.

Braided headbands

Braided headbands were the bomb dot com back when I was in high school. I remember everyone had a phase, no matter how long or short their hair was. To be honest, I still find this style so pretty. Ever since I had my long locks chopped off, I felt like there were so many hairstyles I couldn’t do anymore. Thankfully, this isn’t one of them, and there are so many tutorials online that use techniques that apply to all hair lengths.

Half-up space buns

Also known as the twin buns, half-up space buns are a great way to have a playful look during your midday meetings. You can also reminisce about your favorite music festival since this is a go-to hairstyle for festival goers. It’s an effortless Ariana Grande look, voice not included.

Luckily for us, there’s Sunsilk’s Expert-Perfect Straight shampoo which lets you achieve these looks without having to blow-dry your hair. Not only does it give you straight, easy-to-manage hair, it actually retains the hairstyle throughout the day without any other harmful hair products. Personally, I think it even makes these already easy hairstyles even easier.
