Oh, the baby news are a-coming! Just recently, actress Carey Mulligan reveals the name of her three-week-old daughter with Mumford & Sons frontman Marcus Mumford. Drum roll, please.
Her name’s Evelyn.
Despite keeping her pregnancy under wraps—the news only broke out last April, when she was possibly four months pregnant if our math is correct—the Suffragette star is happy to tell the media about the new presence in the Mumford household. She spilled her daughter’s name at the New York premiere of her new movie, where she looked great post-partum and reflected on the diverse range of women roles in Hollywood lately.
Previously on The Graham Norton Show, Carey appeared as guests with co-stars Meryl Streep and Nicole Kidman. “It’s a girl,” Carey simply said to Graham. Oh yes, it’s a girl with a traditional English yet classy-sounding name, you guys.
Carey is currently promoting Suffragette, a film that revolves around the early members of the British women’s suffragette movement. On days that she doesn’t, she’s busy “enjoying this time with her family and close friends” after giving birth to her baby.
