Ariana Grande’s Signature ‘Do Is Now Platinum Blonde

Ariana Grande’s hair has always been that way for the longest time—long, brunette, and silky as it is tied up in a neat ponytail (half up, half down). Everything remained the same when she released the album art for her latest single “Focus.” Well, except for one thing: She’s now platinum blonde.

The 22-year-old singer has experimented with different hair colors in the past. It was red during her Nickelodeon days and chestnut-colored back in 2013.

The black and white album art shows her in her usual ‘do but with the obvious change in hair color—and no, it doesn’t look like a wig at all. She teased the release of her new song in the caption, which will be released on Oct. 30, but we’re all just focused on the transformation to even bother that there’s a new single

But why still keep the same hairstyle, you say? Arianna admits that her hair got damaged from her Nickelodeon days as she needed to bleach and dye her hair red every other week. As a result, her hair was destroyed, and she had to stick with that kind of ‘do and with a whole lot of extensions.

“Trust me, it’s… difficult for me to have to wait forever for my natural hair to grow back and to have to wear more fake hair than every drag queen on earth combined,” she said.

Is going blonde a good move? We sure hope that this is temporary so as not to damage her hair even further.
