Was last week a time for feels? Because before Adele dropped “Hello” and got people curling in their beds over their exes, Gwen Stefani released the music video for her single “Used to Love You.” Now, everyone’s favorite “Hollaback Girl” is back and going live on Ellen today.
Ellen Degeneres teased fans on Instagram, posting a photo with Gwen and calling the performance “incredible” before it even aired. (Yeah, you got first dibs, Ellen. We know that.)
While this is her first onscreen performance for the single, Gwen sang it live at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC last Oct. 17.
Three days after, the emotional music video debuted. We see Gwen communicating the song’s personal through glassy eyes and worried stares. We’re giving her acting a D though, buthe song an A.
The song is Gwen’s first since her split from Gavin Rossdale, her husband of 13 years.
