This year seems to be Snapchat’s moment with several big updates. This time around, they’ve added more features with filters called “Speed Modifiers” in addition to their existing color and time filters.
You can now hit fast forward, rewind, and put your Snaps in slow-motion with these new filters. That means, your your Snaps can be more than the usual quick survey of the room you’re in or you can give users a little bit more time to appreciate your #FOTD. Earlier this year, Snapchat snipped the need to hold down on your phone to watch a video and has since then showed a steady increase in popularity. Their different filters, which include you being a able to puke out rainbows, eat cookies, or cry like an anime character have also made the app more alluring to users. Aside from the that, the app has turned into a real-time resource for major updates. Fashion personalities are often on it, along with lifestyle giants Refinery29 and Cosmopolitan, and credible news outfits such as CNN, The Huffington Post, and National Geographic.
