If you are in a low-key relationship à la Sarah Geronimo and boyfriend Matteo Guidicelli, the last thing you’d want is to appear on Kris TV. Host Kris Aquino is always one to grill her special co-hosts and dish out private deets—she’s basically any celebrity mom’s nightmare. Is this why Sarah hasn’t officially been a guest host on the show yet? Worse, does the wholesome star actually have something to hide?
The pop star princess has been noticeably evasive at press conferences, and all the more when questions are related to Matteo, her boyfriend of more than a year now. Speculation has arisen that she might have secrets she’s keeping to herself or maybe details she wouldn’t want disclosed. Is having an overprotective mother part of the equation? (Some say Sarah wouldn’t want to be forced to spill some details about her relationship with Matteo to her mom).
When you’re in a showbiz relationship, it’s normal to be “on the rocks” sometimes. The couple has been constantly pried the past few months with rumors about them not being okay. It didn’t help when Sarah told Bandera last July, “Hindi naman maiiwasan ‘yung mga trials. Pero okay kami. (You can’t avoid trials. But we’re okay.)” Matteo, for his part, has cleared the air: “There are little challenges here and there. She’s really busy right now, and I’m busy right now. [But] we’re fine, everything’s fine, smooth. We’re just busy with work.”
So why then hasn’t Sarah co-hosted on Kris’ show? No one knows exactly, but based on her track record, Kris doesn’t take a break when it comes to dropping hints on what she knows and won’t stop until she gets the answers she wants. Sounds like it’s not a good avenue for a mum celebrity trying to keep her personal life low-key.
