While some fans are still recovering from Gigi Hadid and Joe Jonas’ split earlier this month, Gigi seems to be doing better than any of us who are still ugly crying over it. In fact, she is allegedly dating ex-One Direction singer Zayn Malik. We’re seeing a certain type for former pop stars here, Gigi.
The pair, who is said to be in the early stages of dating, was seen cozying it up after the American Music Awards afterparty. “I wouldn’t call them boyfriend and girlfriend,” an insider told Us Magazine. “But seeing each other? Definitely. He’s chuffed.”
The 20-year-old Victoria’s Secret model revealed that their heavy work schedules were the culprit that ended her five-month relationship with Joe. But prior to the ex-Jonas Brothers singer, Gigi was with Aussie singer Cody Simpson for two years. What is it with Gigi and hot, young musicians? Anyway, their split was a case of another job-related breakup: they both wanted to focus on their respective budding careers.
But Gigi isn’t the only one with complicated ex-flames. In August, Zayn Malik ended his four-year relationship with Little Mix member Perrie Edwards (two years of which were spent engaged) for reasons that aren’t disclosed yet until now.
What came as a shock was that apparently, he was eyeing Kylie Jenner first even before Gigi. You got scared of the Tyga huh, Zayn?
So now, the newly dating couple found themselves in each other’s arms—maybe consoling their broken hearts together. We sure hope this isn’t another case of a rebound love affair!
