Forget Netflix, Ariana Grande Wants You to ‘Christmas and Chill’

Whether you’re spending Christmastime single or all warmed up, cuddling with a loved one, Ariana Grande has got the background music for you. The pop star just released a surprise EP today called Christmas and Chill. And unlike a Netflix subscription, it’s free and it comes with no pressure of really “chilling” with someone.

This isn’t your ordinary remake of overdone classic Christmas songs, though. The six-track EP contains all-original songs like “Wit It This Christmas,” “Winter Things,” and “True Love.” The 22-year-old made the whole set list with her team in just one week. So why Christmas and Chill, you ask? Ariana took to Twitter to say that it made the room laugh so they stuck with it.

The interesting part about the EP is that Ariana is feeling more naughty than nice this holiday. With song lyrics like, “And whatever is on your list, I’ll do it/Boy whatever it is, you know I’ll do it” and “I’m just trying to keep my baby warm through the winter time,” The season is starting to heat up!

Christmas mini-albums have become a tradition for the “Focus” singer. In 2013, she released Christmas Kisses and the year after, Santa Tell Me.

So give “All I Want for Christmas Is You” and “Jingle Bell Rock” Mean Girls-style a rest for now. Taking a line from “Wit It This Christmas,” “Are you down for some of these milk and cookies?”

Good thing they’re not donuts, Ariana!
