Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach Passes the Torch to Maxine Medina

It seems like it was only yesterday that Pia Wurtzbach got the chance to compete in Miss Universe, and eventually won the title. And just last night, she’s already crowned the new representative of the country, Maxine Medina.

The 25-year-old interior designer won the title at this year’s Bb. Pilipinas pageant held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. And aside from her win, can we also talk about how beautiful her pink Rhett Eala gown was?

Before the coronation, Pia, who flew in last Wednesday from New York, already posted a message for her successor, in which she advised whoever won to “take good care” of the crown.

And we’re also betting that she already gave Maxine some advice after the pageant to prepare her for the Miss Universe competition later this year. Maybe she gave her pointers on rocking her walk (by the way, what witty name will she call it?), giving a piercing smize to the camera, and acing her Q&A even further after her impressive answer last night?

But anyway, we are very happy for Maxine, and we hope she kills it in Miss Universe 2016!
