Let’s get thing one thing straight: Grace Poe didn’t miss out on signing the honest and truthful election covenant at the Manila Cathedral yesterday on purpose. She chalks it up to miscommunication.
“Dapat May 4, tapos…nasa akin pa yung text, I can show you so you can verify later on (It should have been May 4, the text is still in my phone, I can show you so you can verify later on),” says Grace of the ceremony that took place yesterday.
Still, she says the sentiment of the Church isn’t lost on her. “It’s really the spirit, yung diwa nitong misa na ito. Ang pagdadasal ay nasa puso (It’s really the spirit, the mass’ sentiment is really what’s all about. Prayer really should stem in the heart.)”
Jejomar Binay and Mar Roxas were among the other candidates present yesterday to sign the honest and truthful elections covenant under the guidance of Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle.
